I have worked with ECCHA for a little over two years now, first as an adopter, then as a foster, and most recently as a member of their education committee. They are truly an amazing rescue organization and love on all of the animals in their care. I have both adopted from and fostered for ECCHA and truly appreciate the services they provide for the animals and people in our community. They do their best to reunite lost pets with owners, to assess physical and behavioral needs, and to adopt into forever homes. I look forward to their new building, making it easier for the employees to help pets in the Chippewa Valley. My sweet cats, former ECCHA animals.

I used to haul waste from here for Veolia and I would notice deceased dogs in the roll off dumpster I would pick up here. I still happen to have the photo's I took because no one believed me until they saw it themselves. Since then I have never believed their claim of not disposing of unwanted animals and I do not trust their claimed love for animals. The volunteers that work here love the animals I'm sure but everyone else that works here for a paycheck does it for the money and operates it as any other business to maximize profit. True animal lovers do it for the love of animals, not because they are collecting a salary to pretend to care.

Poor customer service.. they are not willing to work with me after finding out my lost dog babygirl who I had been searching for for months and finally found and found out she was sent to eau clair after my family had dumped her in the town of Joseph and didn’t tell me had been adopted and that theres nothing I can do to see her or get her back and that it’s been to long and it would be confusing to her.. I bond between human and dog is unbreakable and I believe I should be able to see her or at least talk to the people who have adopted her to sort something out I’ve had her since was a puppy and she was supposed to be in my families care just temporarily until I had my home ad family situated and stable which we are now and have Been and now the only part that’s missing from this family is our heart and that’s babygirl I believe I should have a second chance to be with her..

Eau Claire humane officer Kevin Vue at this office violated Wisconsin Statute 173.07 (5) (e). This state statute specifically restricts the power of a humane officer and prohibites trespassing on any property without permission and especially after being told not to tresspass. Don't be fooled by their title and intimidated by their threats, they are about as powerless as a mall cop. Read Wisconsin Statute 173.03 - 173.07 to read about their limited authority and know your rights. While searching for my neighbors loose dog, he was on my property snooping around looking for crimes and even tried to cite me for dogs that were not even mine, thankfully I know how to read a law book and got out of it.
